After testing various electric Skateboards in the market and owning a $2000 well known board, all the board’s I have tested are priced over the $1200 mark, I decided to test a board that is in the lower end in terms of price. My fingers took a wonder on my keyboard and I came across a board called the Magneto, which is seemingly a brand growing in popularity, as the company are having trouble keeping up with the demand at the moment.
Magneto is a company based in London and after a conversation with their director, I believe they ship more or less worldwide and are planning to set-up in the states at some point next year too. To be honest, on the surface I can see why they have sold out. The Magneto is priced around $600, it looks really slick in the pictures and the spec on paper is better in some cases than the $1200 boards I have tested. Where’s the catch? It comes with a great speed of 30KPH, 25KM range, 2-3 hours’ charge time and weighing 6KG.
